How is Autism F.I.R.S.T. different from other providers?

  1. Families save a tremendous amount of time with us.

Coordinating with multiple providers for your child’s various therapies and treatments can be an overwhelming, exhausting job. Combined with also being the liaison between your child’s teachers, school therapists, psychologists and other professionals on your child’s team, and it can seem like a full-time job!

Autism F.I.R.S.T. provides truly collaborative care. We offer so many therapies and support for your entire family under one roof.

  2. We ensure seamless and comprehensive care.
All professionals involved in your child’s treatment work together on a collaborative plan for care. Families can rest assured that everyone involved is working towards the same goals with a comprehensive plan.
  3. All members of your child’s support system are included

We advocate for the needs of not just the child, but for every member of their support system – parents, grandparents, siblings and beyond.

How do you help if I have problems with my insurance provider?

Autism F.I.R.S.T. will work directly with your insurance carrier to submit your claims, both in and out-of-network. We can check your benefits, assist with preauthorization of services, denials and appeals.

How do you match up a therapist with a child?

Our intake process begins with a call with our patient-family advocate who will listen to your needs and concerns. He/she will then match your family with the therapist or team of therapists they feel may be a good fit for your child. If you would like a specific therapist, you may request them at any time.

Does a caregiver need to be present during therapy sessions?

Yes. A responsible adult over the age of 18 must be present at all times during home therapy sessions.
