Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

We are seeking a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our exceptional team. Recognizing the profound impact autism has on the family and support system, we seek to provide broad collaborative care.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree or higher
  • BCBA or BCBA-D Certification
  • Licensed Behavior Analyst (or eligibility to be licensed) in Virginia

Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of client/patient treatment plans, including (but not limited to) the following:

  • Conduct intakes
  • Write/Develop/Maintain BIPs
  • Write/Develop/Maintain treatment programs
  • Conduct parent/caregiver trainings
  • Provide supervision of RBTs

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Autism F.I.R.S.T. is Northern Virginia’s only autism therapy practice to provide the ultimate collaborative treatment, advocacy, support, and care for the autistic child, family, and caregivers. We are seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our exceptional team. Recognizing the profound impact autism has on the family and support system, we seek to provide broad collaborative care.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma (some college preferred)
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Experience with children and/or special needs population is preferred
  • Ability to pass background clearances and pre-employment drug screening

Responsibilities

  • Prepare for and conduct therapy sessions utilizing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis
  • Utilize a medical records system to maintain patient information
  • Provide updates to parents regarding the child’s progress

  • Out-patient clinic in Herndon, VA
  • Out-patient clinic in Chantilly, VA (coming Summer 2022)
  • In client homes in Loudoun County and Fairfax County, VA. Must have a reliable vehicle transportation.

Licensed Family Counselor/Psychologist, PhD

We are seeking a Licensed Family Counselor (LPC; LCSW; LMFT; Psychologist, PhD) to contract with our team. Recognizing the profound impact autism has on the family and support system, we seek to provide broad collaborative care. We are seeking counselors/therapists with comprehensive based therapy and psychological testing skills that range from adults to pediatrics. The counselor will focus on providing family counseling services and support to the families and caregivers of autistic children following our relational autism care model.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Psychologist, PhD, in the state of Virginia.
  • Must pass all clearances.

Responsibilities

  • Provide family counseling services to families, siblings, and caregivers of autistic children.
  • Work closely with our team on the implementation of the treatment and support plan.
  • Monitor the progress of the treatment and support plan through regular contact with the family/caregivers.
  • Coordinate monthly community outreach, messaging, and meetings about our vision and counseling support.

Our clinic is located in Herndon, Virginia. New clinic location due to open Summer 2022. No travel beyond our clinic is required. May work remotely.
This position is for an independent contractor — you will receive a 1099-NEC. Non-employee compensation is paid by the hour at a rate of $75 per hour. Remote work is available.

Pediatric Occupational Therapist

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited school program
  • Virginia Occupational Therapy License
  • Current certification with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
  • Minimum of two years of experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and developmental delays
  • Knowledge of sensory integration theory and practice

Responsibilities

  • Plan individual treatment programs
  • Perform pediatric standardized assessments for purposes of evaluations/re-evaluations
  • Caseload includes a variety of disorders with a specialty in Autism Spectrum Disorders, Sensory Processing Disorders, sensory-based feeding problems, learning or cognitive deficiencies
  • Maintain positive interpersonal relationships with families and other multi-disciplinary team members

Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist

We’re looking for a warm, playful therapist who has a passion for collaboration with families and providing quality services in a multi-disciplinary pediatric setting.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology
  • Virginia Speech Language Pathologist License
  • Experience with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) is PREFERRED

Responsibilities

  • Plan individual treatment programs
  • Perform pediatric standardized assessments for purposes of evaluations/re-evaluations
  • Caseload includes a variety of disorders with a specialty in Autism Spectrum Disorders, Feeding Disorders, Motor Planning Disorders and Language Disorders
