Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs)
BCBAs at Autism FIRST provide clinical leadership across clinic-based and home-based ABA services. In this role, BCBAs develop individualized treatment plans, supervise Behavior Technicians and RBTs, monitor client progress, provide family guidance, and collaborate with team members to support meaningful outcomes for children and families.
Full-Time, Part-Time, and Remote opportunities may be available depending on clinic and program needs.
- Master’s Degree or higher.
- Active BCBA certification required.
- Active Virginia LBA or eligibility to obtain.
- Experience developing treatment plans and supervising ABA programming.
- Ability to provide clinical oversight, caregiver guidance, and staff feedback.
- Reliable transportation for roles that include clinic-based or in-home services.
Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs)
Work directly with children implementing ABA treatment plans under BCBA supervision, supporting daily skill-building, behavior goals, communication, independence, and positive progress across clinic-based and home-based settings.
Full-Time and Part-Time opportunities available across clinic and home-based programs.
- RBT certification, ABA experience, or current enrollment in BCBA/BCaBA coursework.
- Ability to work effectively with people with developmental disabilities.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to behavioral health.
- Proficiency in behavior management techniques.
- Reliable transportation for clinic-based and home-based sessions.
Behavior Technicians
Ideal for those starting their career in ABA. Behavior Technicians work directly with children while receiving training, coaching, and on-the-job support from experienced clinical team members.
Full-Time and Part-Time positions available with flexible scheduling options.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and move quickly to ensure client safety.
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Willingness to work evenings, typically 4–7 PM, and occasional weekends.
- Interest in learning ABA strategies and supporting children and families.
Clinic ABA Director
Help guide clinic operations, mentor clinical teams, and ensure high-quality service delivery across programs and locations. This role supports both clinical leadership and operational alignment.
Leadership opportunities may vary by clinic and organizational need.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a BCBA.
- Senior leadership supervisory experience for 3 years, at minimum.
- Management of BCBA/BCaBA schedules to ensure compliance with billable hour requirements.
- Ability to collaborate professionally with staff, parents, caregivers, schools, and therapy providers.
- Commitment to quality care, team support, and clinical excellence.
ABA Clinic Manager
Support the day-to-day operations that keep clinics running smoothly and efficiently while supporting both staff and families every step of the way.
Clinic management opportunities may vary by location and program need.
- 1–2 years of experience in clinic management, healthcare administration, or a similar role.
- ABA experience preferred.
- Familiarity with Central Reach software is a requirement.
- Knowledge of ABA billing, insurance authorizations, or HR is a plus.
- Comfortable with client intake, scheduling, and administrative systems.

What roles are available at Autism FIRST?
We hire for a variety of positions across our clinics and home-based programs. Common roles include Board Certified Behavior Analysts, Registered Behavior Technicians, Behavior Technicians, clinical leadership positions, and administrative or operational support roles.
Do I need experience to work as a Behavior Technician?
Some experience is helpful, but it is not required. Autism FIRST provides training, guidance, and ongoing support for new Behavior Technicians. We help you learn the skills you need to work directly with children and support families.
Does Autism FIRST provide training or supervision for BCBAs and RBTs?
Yes. We offer training, mentorship, and supervision for Behavior Technicians and BCBAs. Our team values continued learning and professional development.
What is the work environment like?
Our teams work in clinic settings, home-based programs, and community settings, depending on the role. Staff collaborate closely, share ideas, and work together to provide consistent, high-quality care for every family.
Are part-time positions available?
Yes. Many Behavior Technician positions offer part-time scheduling, including late afternoon and evening hours. Some clinical and administrative roles may also offer flexible or full-time schedules.
